Pictures from our trip to Heidelberg a couple of weeks ago. The weather was absolutely beautiful, especially for October. We stayed at Ramstein AB for the night, then drove to Heidelberg from there. We parked on one side of the Rhein river, walked across the pedestrian bridge, then walked back to the car and drove up closer to the castle. We snapped a few pics from outside the castle and then walked into the town for dinner. We had a traditional German dinner in a restaurant that happened to be across from the Heidelberg Tea House (Tee Haus in German), where I browsed while we waited for our dinner. I'll post a couple pictures of my treasures from there some other time.

Noah loved the goats at Eifel Park when we went on Sunday, October 14. He ran right for them and poured out his affection on every one he could get his little arms around. He was supremely happy!
(Don't worry Grandmas, he had a warm, sudsy bubble bath when he got home!)

Alright, here's the truth that I don't even feel I can post on my other blog: I think the whole man-made global warming crap we're being force-fed is hogwash. Wasn't it just 30 years ago (or less) we were being warned about the coming ice age? I think we're being led to believe we are the cause of the earth's climate change (which is very minor, by the way, and I'm not convinced man is capable of steering God's awesome, massive creation into utter destruction.) so we can be controlled by those who want to control us. Before long we won't be able to drive certain cars, there will be steep penalties for not recycling, we may be forced by law to use certain kinds of light bulbs (like the Aussies), etc. There's no end to the restrictions that can be forced on us in the name of being "green" and environmentally "friendly". Think Cheryl Crowe and her brilliant idea to use only one square of toilet paper per bathroom visit. Bollocks! You won't find me going green; I happen to value toilet paper quite highly. And I'm happy to say I'm not the only one who doesn't buy this load of bull. Check out this link.

Christian and TiAhnna left for Italy yesterday. They went with the youth ministry from base, Club Beyond, and will be gone one week. Here they are, waiting to leave.
The drive down was going to be an estimated 20 hours, since they had to stop and pick up three other groups from other military bases in southern Germany before going through Switzerland and driving through northern Italy to Pisa.
